Surfing the deep net

Dark or Deep Web

Although both these terms tend to be used , they don’t refer to exactly the same thing.
The act of deliberately hiding things should not be confused with the necessity of keeping pages
away from search engines for reasons of security or user experience
The ‘Deep Web ‘ makes up 90% of the internet and refers to all web pages that search engines
cannot find. The Deep Web is fairly benign and includes all user databases, webmailpages,
registration-required web forums, and pages behind paywalls. There are vast numbers of such
pages, and most exist for mundane reasons..
A small part of the Deep Web is reserved for the Dark Web, where, as someone said “here be
Dragons l” Here you can find all Darknet Markets and a lot of other things as well.

Most of these Darknet Markets offer things like drugs, counterfeit money ,fake passports and IDs,
stolen credit cards, weapons of al all kinds including grenades and rockets, lifetime Netflix or Sky
subscription, stolen ancient artefacts; you can buy services from hackers and sometimes even from
assassins.
All this illicit shopping is performed in extreme anonymity and most of these websites use referral
URLS, meaning you can only access them if you obtain the proper URL from someone or from
somewhere. You can’t “google” them
These are special URLs ending with .onion domain which means the market is using Tor Hidden
Service which only works over Tor Network. To open these dark web links, you will need Tor Browser
which is also used to hide your IP address and your location.
When it comes to buying, you will need to convert your money to cryptocurrency, which is the only
accepted currency on the dark web. Most widely used cryptocurrency is Bitcoin.

Having said all this, there are legitimate uses for the Dark Web. People operating within closed,
totalitarian societies can use the Dark Web to communicate with the outside world. Given recent
revelations about US and UK government snooping on web use, you may feel it is sensible to take
your communication on to the Dark Web.(stick to Facebook, if you like the attention.)

Geek stuff
Almost all sites on the so-called Dark Web hide their identity using the Tor encryption tool and have the extension .onion .
You may know Tor for its end-user-hiding properties. You can use Tor to hide your identity, and spoof your location. When a website is run through Tor it has much the same effect.
In simple terms, the data that is sent passes through various layers of encryption and decryption (like the various layers of an onion) when it passes from the source to destination.
The purpose of using such a system is to make both the information provider and the person accessing the information more difficult to trace, whether by one another, by an intermediate network host, or by an outsider

How to access the Dark Web

On your pc or laptop you need to install and use Tor.
Go to www.torproject.org and download the Tor Browser Bundle, which contains all the required tools.
Run the downloaded file, choose an extraction location, then open the folder and click Start Tor Browser. The Vidalia Control Panel will automatically handle the randomised network setup and, when Tor is ready, the browser will open; just close it again to disconnect from the network
Depending on what you intend to do on the Dark Web, some users recommend placing tape over
your laptop’s webcam to prevent prying eyes watching you.

On your iphone or android device

Download our app Tenebis (from the latin for dark)
You don’t need ‘jailbreak’ your iphone…simply download and install the app

Whichever way you connect and browse, be aware, once you get into the Dark Web you could be a click away from sites selling drugs and guns, and – frankly even worse things.
So with that said, we leave you to your own devices and wish you good luck and safe surfing
